· Consultant to the New York State Department of Education and co-author of the New York State’s Cooperative Occupational Education Handbook, the New York State Manual on Cooperative Education Programs.

· Board of Directors, Hauppauge Industrial Association, an 1100+ business organizations across Long Island, NY.  Former chairperson of the Education Committee. 

· Trustee of the Long Island Works Coalition, a not-for-profit organization created for the purpose of promoting career education and workforce development on Long Island.

· Coordinator of Workforce Readiness Initiative, New York State and LI for the Society for Human Resource Management.

· President of the Work Experience Coordinator's Association of New York State, 1993 –1995 and 1984 - 1986.

· Recipient of the first Long Island Association’s “L. I. Works Award for Outstanding Leadership in Workforce Development.”

· Chosen by Newsday in 1998 as a “Professional Who Makes an Impact on Long Island’s  Economy,”

· Chosen by Newsday in 1989 as one of five “Educators on Long Island Who make a Difference.”

· Outstanding Suffolk County Business Teachers Award, 2002.

· Recognized by the New York Times for “Innovative Programs in Connecting Education and Industry,” 2003.

· Recognized by the United States Congress in April 2002 for outstanding contributions to the field of business education partnerships.

· Inducted in to the Hauppauge High School Athletic Hall of Fame, 2003.
